In the company of experienced guides you will travel by foot along the ancient shoreline of the Laich of Moray and by voyager canoe on the Spynie Canal. The adventure captures the 1500 year history of the area exploring the real story of MacBeth; the development of the canal designed by Thomas Telford; links to the Highland Clearances and Canada. It is a remarkable historical and environmental story of this unique part of Scotland. A visit to Spynie Palace, the port of Elgin in medieval times and the home of the Bishops of Moray, will be the focal point of the ‘journey'.
The adventure duration is approx 4 hours. It is organised by Outf!t Moray, a social enterprise providing outdoor learning and adventure activities based in Lossiemouth.
